Has been married to Nellie Sue for 38 years. Nellie is a retired school teacher with 38 years of experience.

Served as President of the Dallas Area Chamber of Commerce Executives, Gulf Coast Chamber Executives (2 terms) and Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives.
Was honored by the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives with the Marvin Hurley Award and the Extinguished Service Award.
Rotary Club Member for 27 years – Paul Harris Fellow and served as President of the Garland Lakeside Rotary Club in 1986.
Hobby – Smoking fine Cigars and playing Texas Holdem Poker.
